DTS report 2013

On this day in 2013, the Daily Treasury Statement of the United States shows the debt at: $17,074,074,000,000. You can read it for yourself on The Treasury Report.

The debt limit is not the problem, it's the spending.

Anyone with a credit card balance, especially those with several thousand dollar balance, know it doesn't help to open another credit card when your debt increases, you work on paying down the cards you have. Tightening the belt and become fiscally responsible.

If the government were given a credit score based on the same conditions as people they'd have a 200.

Oh, and by the way, the debt limit, which is supposed to keep spending in check, has been suspended until January 15 2014. It's like removing the credit card limit for a shop-a-holic.
