It is a privilege to vote, but be an informed voter. It will always seem like you need to pick from the lesser of two evils and that's true because everyone is a sinner. If you're waiting to vote for the perfect person, he walked this earth 2000 years ago and isn't going to be available to lead the USA.

So read up on the candidates and find the one that shows the most concern regarding Biblical principles and vote for them. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, it doesn't matter the color of their skin, but the content of their character.

USA debt as it stands November, 7, 2014 is $17,882,211,000,000

When The current president took office the outstanding debt October 9, 2008 was $9,815,000,000,000.

That's almost a %100 increase in debt. An amount of $806,721,100,000 and Americans are not happy (the presidents political party was delt a blow in the polls as Republicans had historic wins over the Democrats). Meaning you can't give money to the people to make them happy. It's more important to provide jobs.

To put this in perspective, if USA's Gross National Product were applied to the debt and no one spent any money for 1 year (not eating or buying toilet paper or buying gas or clothes or anything) The total amount is: 17,416,250,000,000. Even if all that went to pay down the debt, USA would still be $466,961,000,000 in debt.

DTS report 2013

On this day in 2013, the Daily Treasury Statement of the United States shows the debt at: $17,074,074,000,000. You can read it for yourself on The Treasury Report.

The debt limit is not the problem, it's the spending.

Anyone with a credit card balance, especially those with several thousand dollar balance, know it doesn't help to open another credit card when your debt increases, you work on paying down the cards you have. Tightening the belt and become fiscally responsible.

If the government were given a credit score based on the same conditions as people they'd have a 200.

Oh, and by the way, the debt limit, which is supposed to keep spending in check, has been suspended until January 15 2014. It's like removing the credit card limit for a shop-a-holic.

As of Oct. 31, 2012 according to the Daily Treasury Statement (DTS), the portion of the federal debt subject to the legal limit was $16,222,235,000,000--just $171.765 billion below the $16,394,000,000 debt limit.
